Liz Hammond is an award-winning operatic soprano with over fifteen years of musical experience. A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, Liz currently resides in New Haven, Connecticut, where she is active with the Neighborhood Music School and other community organizations. She is a former student of Anne Amenta-Long, and currently studies with Martha Oneppo. She has sung with the Yale Opera and the New Blue–Yale’s first all-female a cappella group–and performs frequently in the New Haven area. She has won first place in the Adult and Advanced divisions of the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and was the Connecticut representative in the New England regionals for the NATS National competition.
